This Privacy Policy explains how QuickBite (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services at https://quickbite.ohstudio.dev.

1. Information we collect

Account information: email address, display name, profile photo, and optional phone number when you register or sign in (including Google Sign-In).
Content you create: recipes, photos, videos, comments, favorites, follows, and reports you submit.
Device & app data: basic device identifiers for push notifications (FCM), language/kitchen preferences stored on your device, and technical logs needed to run the service.
Approximate location (optional): only if you use nearby shops / market features and grant permission.

2. How we use information

Provide and improve the app (feed, cook mode, translation, markets, notifications).
Authenticate accounts and keep the service secure.
Moderate content and handle reports of abuse.
Respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Sharing

We may share data with:

Service providers that host the API, store media, send email, or deliver push notifications.
AI translation providers when you enable recipe translation — recipe text you ask to translate may be sent to that provider to generate a translation.
Legal authorities when required by law or to protect users’ safety.

Public profile information and recipes you publish are visible to other users.

4. Data retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app; we then delete or anonymize associated personal data except where we must retain limited records for security or legal reasons.

5. Security

Data in transit is protected with HTTPS. Access to admin tools is restricted. No method of transmission is 100% secure; please use a strong password.

6. Children’s privacy

QuickBite is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your choices

Update profile data in the app.
Control notification and privacy settings in Settings.
Turn recipe AI translation on or off in Settings.
Delete your account from the in-app account deletion flow.

8. International users

Our servers may be located outside your country. By using the app you understand your information may be processed in the country where we operate our hosting.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do.
